Last weekend, the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) hosted a successful Fall Convention at the beautiful Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts in Brantford, Ontario. Over the course of the weekend, almost 400 singers competed in several contests. Congratulations to the following winners:
East York competed and placed 4th in the Chorus Competition. (Our performance can be seen at https://youtu.be/Xb_kLO1szag.)
Congratulations, also, to the four quartets with East York personnel, Post It!, Replacement Parts, Shenanigans, and #WACD who all acquitted themselves well. Post It! and #WACD both made it to the top 10.
Of course, for many of us, the best part of the convention was after the the contests ended and we got to watch the quartets peform in the relaxed setting of the hospitality suites or sing a few songs with old and new friends ourselves.
